Originally developed to treat Type 2 Diabetes, Tirzepatide has become one of the most effective medications for weight loss and metabolic improvement. It functions as a dual agonist of the GLP-1 and GIP receptors—activating two hormonal pathways that work together to reduce appetite, boost metabolism, and support sustained fat loss.
Compared to Semaglutide (which only targets GLP-1), Tirzepatide achieved 5–7% greater weight loss in clinical trials. While Retatrutide (a triple agonist) produced similar weight reduction in a shorter time frame (48 weeks vs. Tirzepatide’s 72 weeks), Tirzepatide remains one of the most well-studied and widely used peptide therapies today.
GLP-1: Suppresses appetite and promotes satiety after meals.
GIP: Stimulates insulin secretion and improves energy balance via hypothalamic pathways.
Together, these dual mechanisms help control hunger, improve glucose metabolism, and enhance fat oxidation.
Average 24.7% weight loss after 72 weeks
Reduces appetite and cravings
Enhances satiety and energy regulation
Promotes fat metabolism and oxidation
Improves insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control
(Generally mild and temporary; affected about 25% of users in studies)
Injection site irritation (redness, itching, or swelling)
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea or constipation
Fatigue
Indigestion (dyspepsia)
Abdominal pain or burping (sometimes sulfur-like odor)
Decreased appetite
Temporary hair thinning
Thyroid C-cell tumors
Pancreatitis
Gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying)
Hypoglycemia (when used with insulin)
Gallbladder disease
Kidney complications from dehydration
Pulmonary aspiration under anesthesia
⚠️ Always disclose Tirzepatide use before any surgery.
Avoid greasy or fatty foods
Stay well-hydrated throughout the day
Stop eating once full (satiety occurs earlier)
Dose at night to minimize nausea
Use fiber supplements to prevent constipation
If side effects are strong, start with a smaller initial dose and increase more gradually (consult staff for a tailored schedule)
Do not use Tirzepatide if you:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have a personal or family history of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma or MEN 2 (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia)
Have Type 1 Diabetes, severe gastrointestinal disorders, or diabetic retinopathy
Are allergic or hypersensitive to Tirzepatide or its ingredients
Use Bacteriostatic Water (Bac Water) for reconstitution.
Swirl gently (do not shake) until fully dissolved.
Store refrigerated.

Inject subcutaneously (under the skin)
Dose once every 7 days, on the same day each week
Remain at each dose level for at least 4 weeks before increasing
If prone to nausea or dizziness, dose at night
If transferring from another GLP-1 peptide, start at 5mg, not 2.5mg.
