NAD+ Overview

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a critical coenzyme found in every living cell. It plays a central role in energy production, DNA repair, metabolism, and cellular regeneration.

Contraindications

Do NOT use NAD+ if:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding

• Diabetic (use caution: may affect insulin and glucose levels)

• Undergoing cancer treatment or have active cancer

• Taking blood pressure medication (risk of hypotension)

• On anticoagulants (Coumadin/Warfarin)

• Taking antidepressants (may worsen mood imbalance)

⚠ Note: Antioxidants such as Resveratrol and Quercetin can raise NAD+ levels up to fivefold — but may also intensify side effects (e.g., hot flashes, headaches, muscle cramps).

Reconstitution & Dosing (Injectable)

Reconstitution:

Mix NAD+ 500mg with 5mL (500 units) of Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water).

Cycle: 12 weeks ON → 4 weeks  OFF
 

Administration: Subcutaneous injection (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm)

Timing: Best dosed in the morning (A.M.)

Preparation Steps:

1. Add 5mL of Bacteriostatic Water to the 500mg NAD+ vial. Final concentration is 100mg/mL.

2. Roll gently to dissolve — do not shake.

3. Rotate injection sites to prevent irritation.

Dosing Protocol

• Weeks 1-12: 25-50 units (25-50mg), 2-3x/week

Maximum Dosing Protocol

• Week 1: 50 units (50mg), 2x/week.

• Week 2: 100 units (100mg), 2x/week

• Weeks 3-6: 100 units (100mg), 4x/week

• Weeks 7-8: 100 units (100mg), 4-7x/week

• Weeks 9-12: 100 units (100mg), 3-5x/week

Important: Always cycle off NAD+ for 4 weeks after completing a 12-week protocol. Consider stacking with SS-31 during the washout period for mitochondrial support.

Advanced Dosing Notes

• Dose in the morning to prevent nighttime overstimulation.

• Always rotate injection sites to avoid irritation.

• Stay hydrated and ensure proper B-vitamin and electrolyte intake.

Recommended Stacks

• Resveratrol - Amplifies NAD+ production and mitochondrial function

• GHK-Cu – Promotes collagen regeneration and antioxidant synergy

• Quercetin - Boosts NAD+ levels but may increase side effect sensitivity

• NR or NMN - NAD+ precursors that help sustain levels between injections
