DSIP Overview
Delta Sleep–Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring peptide involved in regulating the sleep–wake cycle. It is believed to promote delta-wave sleep, the deepest and most restorative stage of sleep. Although its exact mechanism is not fully understood, DSIP is thought to act on the central nervous system—particularly the hypothalamus—to influence sleep regulation.
DSIP is commonly used for its therapeutic potential in managing insomnia, circadian rhythm disturbances, and sleep fragmentation. Research suggests it may shorten sleep onset time, extend total sleep duration, and improve overall sleep quality in individuals with sleep disorders.
May reduce pain intensity in individuals with chronic pain conditions
Increases resilience to acute emotional and psychological stress
Acts as a potent antioxidant
Exhibits anti-epileptic properties
Improves survival outcomes following cerebral ischemia
Enhances spatial memory and cognitive performance
May reduce symptoms of depression
Helps regulate abnormal heart rhythms
Often lowers blood pressure
Improves blood circulation through direct cardiac effects
May reduce tumor growth risk
Can enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy while limiting side effects
Supports visual function in diabetic patients with ocular complications
Commonly used in opioid detoxification protocols
Side effects are rare but may include:
Headache
Low blood pressure
Dizziness
Ringing in the ears
Sweating
Nausea or vomiting
Combining DSIP with CNS depressants may cause excessive drowsiness or neurological effects
DSIP interacts with the opioid system; its effects can be blocked by naloxone
Avoid use with prescription sedatives or recreational drugs due to over-sedation risk
DSIP is metabolized by aminopeptidases; ACE inhibitors (e.g., captopril) may interfere with its breakdown—avoid use if taking these medications
May alter the effects of stimulants such as amphetamines, potentially causing paradoxical sedation
Influences GABA activity; stacking with GABA-modulating compounds (melatonin, magnesium) should be done cautiously
Not recommended for individuals with severe psychiatric disorders
Due to possible growth hormone interaction, those with a personal history of cancer should avoid use
Do not use while pregnant or breastfeeding
Reconstitution:
Mix DSIP 5mg with 2.5mL (250 units) of Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water).
Administration:
Subcutaneous injection
Frequency:
Daily (7x a week)
Timing:
30–60 minutes before bedtime
Cycle:
8-12 weeks ON → 4–8 weeks OFF
Titration Schedule:
Week 1: 5 units (100 mcg)
Weeks 2: 10 units (200 mcg)
Weeks 3–12: Increase in 5 units (100 mcg) increments as needed to maintain benefit
Dose equivalents:
15 units = 300 mcg
20 units = 400 mcg
25 units = 500 mcg
30 units = 600 mcg
35 units = 700 mcg
Epitalon – Enhances circadian rhythm normalization, deep sleep quality, and long-term sleep cycle regulation
Semax – Supports cognitive function, stress resilience, and mental clarity without disrupting sleep when dosed earlier in the day
Selank – Reduces anxiety and nervous tension, complementing DSIP’s calming effects
Melatonin (low dose) – May further support sleep onset; use cautiously due to additive sedative effects
Magnesium (glycinate or threonate) – Promotes muscle relaxation and nervous system calm
Glycine – Enhances sleep depth and thermoregulation
BPC-157 – Supports nervous system repair and gut-brain axis balance, indirectly improving sleep quality
Important:
Avoid stacking DSIP with prescription sedatives, alcohol, or high-dose GABAergic compounds. Always introduce one compound at a time to assess tolerance.
